Hello, my complaint is about a perfume purchased at the Sephora Palladium store. My spouse purchased a Tom Ford perfume for me as a gift from the Sephora Palladium store on March 2, 2024. He presented me with the perfume as a gift the following day. When I sprayed the perfume to test it, I noticed that the aroma did not remain long and rapidly vanished. I even assumed the perfume was a forgery because the aroma faded soon. Those who use Tom Ford know that the aroma lasts a long time, even with a small amount. As a result, I went to the store and filed a complaint, requesting a refund for the purchase. Mr. T*****, the store representative, informed me that they could not execute the refund at that time and would send the items to the importer store for inspection in accordance with the procedure. They stated that if the importer company responds unfavorably, the Sephora GM will assist with customer satisfaction in such cases where the perfume is unused.
A week later, the retailer called me again, informing me that the importer firm had denied my request. They gave me the choice of collecting the items or submitting a request through Sephora's phone center. I called Sephora's call line and was advised that a refund was not available under any circumstances, including the 14-day return period. So it appears that even our 14-day return policy at Sephora holds no value.
Finally, I am compelled to utilize a product that I seriously doubt is original. However, I will pursue this matter until the conclusion and will submit a complaint to the Consumer Arbitration Board to protect my rights. Since Sephora has not responded to my complaint, I will never shop at their locations again.
