Sephora Manager’s Disrespectful Behavior Toward Customer Group

We are a group attending a make-up training and on 28 December at around 12:15, 10–11 people from our group visited the Sephora store in Marmara Park in order to get to know the product features, examine them on site and shop. While we were looking at the products in front of the stands inside the store, a brunette woman who introduced herself as the store manager came to us and said “you cannot enter my store as a herd” and displayed a very disrespectful and humiliating attitude towards the whole group. She also told us that we could not do product promotion there that day. Although we stated that we were there as customers to purchase products and in fact bought products from the store, she insisted on this style and expression. We find it completely unacceptable and incompatible with a corporate brand like Sephora that such language and behaviour are used towards a group of women who are both examining products and shopping. Due to this incident, our trust in the brand has been seriously damaged and as a group we no longer consider shopping from Sephora. Regarding this incident we experienced at the Sephora store in Marmara Park, we request that the necessary investigation and disciplinary process be initiated for the store manager in question, that a respectful attitude towards customers be guaranteed in terms of staff behaviour, and that we be informed about the outcome of the process.
