On December 17, 2025, I shopped at the Sephora store in Vadi Istanbul. I’ve been a customer who regularly buys cosmetics and chooses Sephora for years, but I keep experiencing the same problem at this location. The store staff are extremely inattentive, chatting among themselves and ignoring customers. In particular, 2–3 employees were standing and talking right in front of the section where I wanted to browse, and because of their positioning and conversation, I couldn’t comfortably look at the products.
In addition, there are almost no testers available in the store. Today, when I asked for a tester at the checkout, the employee told me that they only had a men’s perfume tester and could give me that if I wanted. In a cosmetics store, being able to try products before buying is the most basic expectation. Constantly being told “there are no testers” and being offered no alternative solution is extremely disappointing as a customer.
Because of both the indifferent and careless attitude of the staff and this long-standing, unresolved issue with testers, I now have serious complaints about Sephora—especially the Vadi Istanbul store. I expect an explanation from the store or the company’s management regarding these experiences, a follow-up response to me, and permanent improvements in staff engagement and the availability of tester products.
