Scribd Charged $12 Nearly a Year After I Canceled My Free Trial
On November 26, 2025, I started a trial subscription through Google Play for Scribd Inc. under order number gpa. 3389-4156-9819-23093 so that I could use the free version of the Scribd app. Before the free trial period ended, I canceled my membership through Google Play, and I did not use the app at all for nearly a year afterward.
Despite this, I was charged $12 on September 15, 2026. What makes this even more concerning is that there is currently no active subscription showing in the app. I do not accept being charged this amount after not using the app for nearly a year and having canceled the trial subscription before the free trial period ended.
I request that the $12 charge made on the relevant date be canceled and fully refunded to my card. I also request that all subscriptions associated with my account, including any that may not be visible, be permanently canceled.
