Samsung TV Screen Cracked Without Impact and Warranty Was Denied

December 20, 2025 8:21 PM36

On April 2, 2025, at 5:54 PM, I purchased a Samsung UE70DU7100U television on an installment plan from the A101 store located in Suvaroğlu Neighborhood, İpekyolu, Van, for $1,280. While using the TV under normal conditions, and despite the fact that it was not exposed to any external impact, cracks suddenly appeared inside the screen and the display became completely unusable.

I have been dealing with this issue for approximately one month. An authorized technical service visited my home, inspected the television, accessed the system records, and confirmed my warranty details. Despite this, they claimed that the TV had suffered impact damage and refused to accept responsibility.

Even though we did not break the television, the issue was labeled as user error, and I was informed that the defect would not be covered under warranty. I was then asked to pay an almost equivalent amount to the original purchase price just for a screen replacement.

Both A101 and Samsung failed to stand behind the product, even though the television is less than one year old, and no solution was offered to address my grievance. I request that a screen which cracked on its own without any external force not be considered user error, and that my television be repaired free of charge under warranty or replaced with a fault-free equivalent.

I ask that my grievance be resolved urgently and that the outcome of this process be communicated to me in writing.
