I bought a Samsung S24 Plus phone, and it overheats to the point where I can’t even hold it to my ear because it burns. I sent it to the service center, and they called me back saying there was a scratch on the case, so they couldn’t replace it. I was shocked. What does a scratch have to do with the overheating issue? Did I tamper with the device? No. Has there been any unauthorized intervention? No. I've been waiting for an update to fix this issue since the day I bought it, but this is complete nonsense. They are saying that because of a scratch, the brand-new defective phone I can’t even use will only be repaired. I run an authorized service center for another brand, and if a device has a malfunction, the customer has the right to request a replacement, not a repair, within the first six months. What does a scratch have to do with it? Are they planning to take my phone, repair it, and resell it as new? I’m taking this to the Consumer Arbitration Board. Yesterday, I called customer service to ask about the issue, and they said they’d get back to me. It’s been two days, and no one has contacted me. Today, I called four more times, but still, no one has returned my calls. The last time I called, at 17:39, they told me the person handling my case would get back to me before the end of the day. When I asked when she finished work, they said 20:00. I called again at 18:45, only to find out she left at 18:00. You have to go through two representatives just to reach her, as if she’s the General Manager of Samsung Turkey. They keep telling me someone will call me back, but the first person who answers says they are transferring me to the right department. Then I have to explain the whole situation again to that person, and they say they have no authority to help, and someone else will call me back. It feels like I’m talking to secretaries rather than customer service.
