My Samsung GE83X Microwave Touch Panel Failed Quickly and Replacement Is Overpriced
I purchased the Samsung GE83X microwave with high hopes, attracted by its sleek and eye-catching design. I’ve used it frequently and appreciated its overall performance. However, I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the touch panel.
The touch panel is made from a thin, layered PVC material, and the touch points only work with significant pressure even when brand new. Over time, the panel easily deteriorates and becomes unresponsive. When it breaks, replacing it becomes a nightmare — not only is the part extremely hard to find, but it is also sold at unjustifiably high prices despite being made from simple acetate material.
Moreover, this essential touch panel is never covered under warranty, even though the defect occurs purely through normal usage. As the microwave continues to operate, the panel inevitably wears out.
I believe Samsung should replace this part free of charge when it fails, as it is clearly a design flaw and a recurring issue for many users. I demand that Samsung offer a proper solution and stand behind the durability of their product.
