Salomon XT-WHISPER Shoes Tore After Six Months

On March 8, 2026, I purchased a pair of Salomon XT-WHISPER shoes from the Salomon store at Mavibahçe in Izmir. After less than six months of use, the mesh material at the flex point of the right shoe began to tear, despite there being no external factor that could have caused the damage. I returned the product to the same store for inspection on September 6, 2026. Since I was not provided with any information about the process, I had to check the status online myself and discovered that the claim had been marked as “rejected.”

How can a pair of shoes from a “premium” brand that consumers pay a significant amount of money for begin tearing at the flex point after only six months, and how can this be considered user error? Since the product has not yet been returned to me, I am unable to attach photos at this time. However, as soon as I receive it, I will document the defect with photographs and upload them to the system.

This is not the first time I have experienced a problem with Salomon products. I previously had a similar issue with another pair of Salomon shoes and, after considerable effort, was eventually given a replacement. However, the replacement shoes also tore after only one winter season of use. If requested, I can also provide those shoes as evidence of what I believe has become a recurring issue.

Paying significant amounts of money for products that I cannot properly use and repeatedly having to deal with store visits and inspection processes has become extremely frustrating and has caused me significant inconvenience. I do not accept Salomon's approach of refusing to stand behind a defective product. I have already filed an application with the Consumer Arbitration Committee regarding this matter. I request that my issue be resolved immediately and that I receive either a full refund for the defective product or, at minimum, a replacement with a product that is free from defects.
