Russell Hobbs 3-in-1 Sandwich Maker Melted After One Use
On May 9, 2026, we purchased a Russell Hobbs 3-in-1 sandwich maker from Perotti Züccaciye at StarCity Outlet. At the time of purchase, we were specifically told that the warranty would cover the product if any problems occurred. We used the product for the first time during the week we purchased it, and afterward, we noticed that the lower plate had melted. Relying on the warranty, we sent the appliance to an authorized service center.
The appliance arrived at the service center on June 2, and we were contacted on Tuesday, June 9. We were told that the replacement part was no longer being manufactured and that the appliance therefore could not be repaired. We were offered a gift card worth only 50% of the purchase price if we wanted one. I do not consider it acceptable for the toaster to fail so quickly, for the necessary part to be unavailable, and for the only compensation offered to be a partial gift card.
I purchased the product by credit card for approximately $41, and I believe I have been unfairly disadvantaged by this situation. Because the product is defective, I request that my sandwich maker be replaced with a new, fully functional product.
