My Roborock S7 Shuts Down Instantly When Undocked—Won’t Work Without Charger

I set up my Roborock S7 for the very first time today. The device was fully charged, all the connections were in place, and I followed the setup steps exactly as instructed. When I initiated the initial mapping, the robot displayed “Mapping in progress”—but the moment it left the charging dock, it shut down instantly. Every time I try, the same thing happens.

The device simply won’t operate unless it’s physically connected to the charger, making it completely unusable. I’ve not even had the chance to clean a single square meter with it, and I’m already dealing with a serious issue. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing for a brand-new product.

Roborock, I expect a prompt solution to this malfunction. A robot vacuum should not rely on being plugged in to function—it completely defeats the purpose of the product. Please guide me through fixing this or initiate a replacement process immediately. A brand-new unit should not arrive with such a critical defect.

Hello friends, after we bought the product, we checked it once. We used it, and after 2 days we put it back in its box and stored it. We were going to start using it a month before the 2-year warranty expired. The product encountered this kind of problem. The battery was dead, basically useless. Since there was little time left before the warranty expired, they replaced it under warranty. What you need to do is contact the place where you bought the product and send it in for warranty service. If the warranty has expired, they will replace it for a fee. If the warranty is still valid, they will replace it under warranty.
