Renault Austral Windshield Cracked After 1.5 Months , Warranty Claim Denied


Dear Renault Officials, On June 06, 2024, I bought a Renault Austra, which I liked very much, with zero km from the dealer. I am writing to convey a serious problem I experienced with my vehicle today. It's been about 1.5 months since I bought my Austral vehicle. I live in a secure complex where each flat has its own parking space. Today, before going on holiday at noon, I started using a garden hose to wet the dirt on the exterior before cleaning it with foam. When I poured water on the windshield, I heard a cracking sound. When I checked, I saw that there was a crack in the windshield. I immediately took my car to the Authorized Service, Izmit Ernaz Automotive. I told them about the incident, that there was no hard object hitting the glass from outside, it was hot at noon, it cracked when I put water on it, they said they would take a picture of the windshield of the vehicle and send it to the headquarters and inform me in a few days. As a result of my research, I saw that many people encountered this situation and became victims. As a new vehicle owner, this situation caused me deep concern. Having such a problem in a new vehicle is unacceptable and poses a major safety risk. I request that this situation be investigated immediately and necessary measures be taken. I expect the cracked windshield of my vehicle, which I purchased on June 6, 2024, to be replaced free of charge under warranty. I would like to receive clear and detailed information about the warranty process of this situation and the steps to solve the problem.
