Items Stolen From My Luggage During Travel With Etihad Airways
I travelled with Etihad Airways on 31/10/26 from Abu Dhabi to Islamabad, under booking reference 8FKN9E, and after this flight I discovered that many of my belongings had gone missing from my baggage. I only realised the problem when I arrived home and started unpacking. In total, 26 different items were missing, many of them more than one piece, belonging to men, women and children. Among the stolen items were a cream coloured large women’s sweater, soft closed ladies’ shoes, one pair of brown men’s shoes, one pair of black men’s shoes, two black men’s jackets, two six‑pack sets of men’s socks, a white‑and‑pink checked girls’ jacket, one red and one white girls’ sweater, a sewing embroidery set, two eye shadow palettes, two blankets, hair ribbon clip sets, four pairs of baby girls’ shoes, a women’s shalwar kameez, Clarks grey slippers, a dress for a one‑year‑old boy, Ulta makeup including a Clinique foundation, an eye mascara set, Anua face creams and eye pencils, three sets of Sew‑ology buttons in gold and white, four sets of summer clothes for 3–4 year old boys from Costco, a blue jacket for a 3–4 year old boy, six Bath and Body dry skin creams, garlic chopping accessories, eight white table mats and a large men’s sweater. The total value of the missing items is approximately 2,000 US dollars. I have already submitted an online complaint to Etihad about these stolen items. However, I have not yet received a satisfactory response or compensation for this serious loss. I expect Etihad to investigate this incident urgently, identify how such a large number of items could be removed from my baggage, and refund the full value of approximately 2,000 US dollars for the stolen belongings. I also request a written explanation of the outcome of your investigation and the measures you will take to prevent similar incidents in the future.
