Qantas Delayed My Flights and Refused Partial Refund Making Me Buy Another Ticket
After more than 15 years of travel, my recent Qantas experience was startlingly bad. Three hours of "operational issues" caused delay to my departing trip; the return flight was significantly worse, delayed over five hours. Qantas found it to be a mechanical issue, but blaming weather. Their inflexible policies added to the aggravation by not allowing any room. They said the whole ticket had to be cancelled for a refund even though I intended to cancel the delayed leg of my round-trip ticket to schedule another flight. I was left with no option than to pay for a pricey one-way flight with another carrier. Qantas clearly lacks openness and customer service for an airline with its standing.
