PIA disconnects when switching Wi-Fi, how can I keep it stable?

If PIA disconnects when you switch Wi-Fi networks, enable the Kill Switch and Auto-connect on launch in Settings so the VPN automatically reconnects when your network changes.

Also switch to the WireGuard protocol, which reconnects faster and handles network transitions more smoothly than OpenVPN.

To improve stability, disable split tunneling and allow PIA to run in the background without battery optimization limits on Windows, macOS, or mobile.

If the issue continues, forget old Wi-Fi networks, reboot your router, and update the PIA app to the latest version to fix reconnection bugs.
