Philips' 5-in-1 Hair Styler Return Disappointment

I recently bought a 5-in-1 hair styler from Philips and got it on May 25, 2023. I decided to call the number listed on their website since it was already after 6:00 PM. To my surprise, they told me that I couldn't return the product because I had opened the shipping package. But how could I judge the quality of the item without opening it? The item's quality was really bad and didn't live up to Philips' reputation. I just took a quick look at it and saw that it wasn't very good, so I quickly put it back in the package. But they said they couldn't take my return because the shipping box had been opened. If I had bought the item from a different website, like t***** or h****, they would have gladly taken it back. I really regret buying from their website directly. I ended up with an unopened product I didn't like that I can't send back. I'm truly baffled. I will do what needs to be done to fix this problem.
