Philips HD9252/90 Airfryer Coating Wear And Poor Cooking Performance Issue

On 20.02.2024, I purchased a Philips HD9252/90 Essential Airfryer from Vatan Computer. We used the product regularly for about a year. Although it never cooked any meal to the desired consistency from the first day, we assumed this was how the device functioned and continued using it. However, in the past ten days, we noticed significant wear on the coating at the bottom of the Airfryer’s inner basket. Despite my spouse using the product very carefully, such wear appearing in such a short time worried me, especially in terms of health. Because of this, I took the product to the Vatan Computer store where I purchased it, and they rightly told me I needed to contact Philips. When I called Philips customer service, I was directed to an authorized service and was told they would assist me with this issue. However, when I visited the service, they claimed that the coating wear on the inner basket was normal and said they could not perform any service procedure. Their attitude and approach were also very unsatisfactory. I previously experienced similar issues with a Philips vacuum cleaner as well; combined with this experience, I am deeply disappointed with Philips’ warranty and service processes. Since I am not satisfied with the product’s cooking performance and I believe the coating wear inside the basket poses a health risk, I request that this device be examined in detail by Philips and, if possible, returned with a refund issued to me. I would like to communicate with an authorized unit that will acknowledge my complaint and provide a solution.

Thank you for your response. I hope that our approach and attitude here will not be as far from customer sensitivity as the approach of your Instagram Philips home appliances page representative. Because the representative there displays an attitude and approach that is completely unaware of customer sensitivity and rights. I hope the same person is not managing this process.

I was just called on my personal mobile phone by the authorized service Şendur Elektronik in Batman, and I was subjected to a conversation questioning 'why I filed a complaint.' This situation is completely unacceptable both ethically and professionally. It is entirely against the standards of the Philips brand and customer satisfaction for an authorized service to: call the customer from their personal number, question their right to file a complaint, and communicate in a manner of demanding explanations. At this point, the issue is no longer just about the product; the behavior of an authorized service acting on behalf of Philips to pressure a customer has become a serious problem. Therefore, my expectations from Philips Turkey are as follows: 1. That a necessary investigation is conducted regarding this inappropriate behavior by Şendur Elektronik, 2. That this unethical attitude towards me as a customer is officially recorded, 3. That my complaint about the product is now evaluated at a higher level by Philips Turkey, not just through service referral. The attitude of the service has further negatively affected both my trust and my perception of Philips. For this reason, I request that the matter be handled by an official department.
