Philip Morris Faces Quality Control Complaint Over Plastic in Cigarette
I purchased a pack of Marlboro Touch Blue, produced by Philip Morris, on January 17, 2026, from Akıncılar Market in Menemen, İzmir. While I was smoking one of the cigarettes, a substance resembling melted nylon or plastic dripped onto me. When I examined the cigarette, I saw that there was nylon/plastic material inside it. During this incident, the dripping material fell onto my jacket and burned a hole in it, causing visible damage to my clothing. The cigarette pack bears the code “P9T NQC JQH B45 TA38533117.”
I find it extremely disturbing and alarming that such a foreign and potentially plastic material was present inside a cigarette. I request that the product in question and, if necessary, the production line be examined in detail, that I be informed in writing of the results of this investigation, and that my material and emotional damages be compensated, including non-material (moral) damages, since my jacket was damaged and I was exposed to a serious health and safety risk. I kindly ask that my complaint be reviewed carefully and that I be contacted as soon as possible regarding the actions taken and the compensation process.
