Philip Morris Marlboro Quality Is Low
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the quality of Marlboro Red cigarettes (both short and long) sold in Turkey and manufactured by Philip Morris Turkey. Over the past several months, I have consistently encountered serious issues including: Damaged or faulty filters: Some cigarettes have detached or deformed filters, which severely impacts the smoking experience. Foreign materials in the tobacco: I have frequently found small wood fragments inside the tobacco, which is both alarming and unacceptable. Abnormal ash behavior: The ashes do not hold together as they used to and often scatter or break apart easily. Overall decline in quality: Compared to the same brand purchased in other countries, the Turkish versions are significantly inferior — lacking consistency, smoothness, and the premium feel that Marlboro Red is known for globally. It is disappointing to see such a drastic decline in quality, especially from a brand with such a global reputation. As a long-time Marlboro customer, I expected the same standard across all regions — but unfortunately, the cigarettes produced in Turkey fall far short of international standards. I kindly request that you investigate this matter and take the necessary steps to restore the quality of Marlboro Red products in Turkey. I have also submitted this issue to local consumer platforms, but I believe it is essential that the global team is aware of this ongoing problem.
