Peugeot Delayed My 2008 Recall Repair for Over 2.5 Months Without a Solution
As part of the recall process for my Peugeot 2008 model vehicle, I was informed and scheduled an appointment with the Peugeot Öztek service on [January 10, 2025], where I handed over my vehicle. The day after delivering my vehicle, I was contacted and informed that the reference number had been incorrectly recorded. Therefore, I was told that the required part would be procured from İzmir and that the process would take approximately one week. However, the one-week period turned into 15 days, then a month passed, and yet no results were achieved. At the end of a month, I was informed that the part had been returned to France and would be re-sourced from there. As of now, this process has exceeded 2.5 months, and no concrete solution has been provided to me. Despite repeated attempts to contact Peugeot’s central office, I was assured each time that the issue would be resolved or that assistance would be provided. However, afterward, I would receive calls from Peugeot Öztek, where I was told, "We will get back to you," with vague and evasive responses. In my most recent conversation yesterday, a staff member stated that the part’s delivery might take a week, a month, or even a year. Such an approach towards me is contrary to the principles of customer satisfaction and deeply upsetting, as I feel my concerns are being disregarded in a mocking manner. I urgently request your assistance in resolving the issue with my vehicle as soon as possible. Otherwise, I will be compelled to pursue legal actions to address my grievances.
They called to solve the problem, gave me an appointment, and changed the part. When I left the service, my service light came on. They said it was not caused by them. Two days later, they gave me another appointment and checked it, saying there was a problem with the air sensor and that it would cost 12,000 TL. I objected, but to no avail. Then I left the service and went to the Boos service in the same area. They checked the device and said that while changing the timing belt and its parts, the cables had been disconnected and reconnected incorrectly, and the part that triggered the warning light was installed incorrectly. Boos service didn't even charge me, but Peugeot service wanted 12,000 TL from me for something they didn't even do.
