Peugeot Boxer 2023 Stalled at 50K Km and Service Delayed Repairs for Weeks
My vehicle is a 2023 model Peugeot Boxer, and I have been dealing with endless issues since the day I bought it. At 25,000 km, the clutch and pressure plate were completely replaced under warranty. Until this was resolved, I had to go back and forth to the service center at least 50 times. My vehicle stayed in the authorized service for four days, and when I requested compensation for the downtime, they refused. Now, I am facing a completely different issue. At 50,000 km, my vehicle suddenly stalled while driving and would not start again. I had it towed to the authorized service center, where it has been sitting for five days waiting for its turn due to only one lift being available for commercial vehicles. A preliminary inspection was conducted, and they speculated that it might have jumped timing or the chain might have slipped. They mentioned the engine would need to be disassembled, the top cover removed and possibly sent for reconditioning. I contacted Peugeot headquarters about getting a replacement vehicle and asked how long my vehicle would remain out of service. The service center said it could be a week, ten days, or even longer. When I requested compensation for the commercial downtime, I was told two days later by headquarters that they do not provide replacement vehicles for commercial vehicles and that parts would need to be ordered first before addressing downtime compensation. I ask you, how is it fair for the vehicle to wait for a lift for a week or even a month, only to then be disassembled and inspected before parts are ordered? Meanwhile, they leave the vehicle in the service center arbitrarily, and when I request compensation for my losses, they outright refuse. I have never seen a brand so irresponsible in my life. They absolutely do not stand behind their product. I strongly advise anyone to reconsider before purchasing a vehicle from them.
