Constant Electronic Problems with the New Peugeot Boxer
I purchased a brand-new 2021 model Boxer from ABC Peugeot dealership. At 30,000 km, the vehicle encountered an electronic malfunction. Despite assurances from the service center that they had inspected and replaced electronic components, the problem persisted. They then suggested a faulty engine control unit and replaced it, a process that took a staggering 55 days. Given the impact on my business and the prolonged repair time, ABC Peugeot offered to cover the cost of a rental car. However, when the actual rental period exceeded their estimates, they reneged on their promise to cover the charges for a non-invoiced rental.
Facing this breach of agreement, I initiated legal proceedings and reclaimed my vehicle after 55 days in the shop. Yet, the ordeal continued as the car's air conditioning malfunctioned two months later. The service center assured me they would cover the costs of a rental car if I obtained a proper invoice. The car spent an additional 43 days in the shop, during which they replaced all electronic components. Despite their assurances, ABC Peugeot once again failed to cover the full rental fee, creating both financial and emotional distress.
Remarkably, the motor warning light in the car remains illuminated, and a solution to this persistent issue has yet to be provided. This vehicle was purchased new from the ABC Peugeot service. I urgently demand a resolution to this ongoing nightmare.
