Pegasus Broke My Suitcase Wheel on Flight PC741 and Offers No Real Compensation
On September 2, 2024, I traveled from Dubai to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport on Pegasus flight PC741. When I retrieved my luggage, I discovered that the wheel of my suitcase was broken, and the exterior was scratched with small cracks. I reported the damage to the Pegasus lost and damaged baggage department. The staff there told me, "We can't provide you with a new suitcase or compensation here. If you like, you can take another damaged suitcase from here," and they filed a report.
Later, I contacted Pegasus guest relations via email with application number 10971775, attaching photos of the damage. They responded, "You can have the suitcase repaired yourself, send us the invoice, and we'll review it to reimburse you." Why should I have to deal with this when there was no user error involved? Despite them breaking my suitcase, they expect me to enjoy traveling with a wheel-less suitcase. Thank you, Pegasus, for making this experience so frustrating!
