PDF Guru Unauthorized Charges – Request Refund And Subscription Cancellation
This is written regarding an unauthorized recurring charge applied by PDF Guru. I purchased access to your plan with the clear intention of paying only for a single use. At no point during the purchase process was I informed that I was enrolling in an automatically renewing subscription or that my card would be billed again in the future without further confirmation. Recently, my credit card was charged 49.99 USD by APDFGURUCOM, as confirmed by the transaction notification from ICICI Bank dated 13 July 2026. I dispute this 49.99 USD charge because I did not knowingly authorize any recurring billing and was not clearly and explicitly notified that my initial payment would result in automatic subsequent charges. I request an immediate full refund of 49.99 USD to my original payment method and the cancellation of any active subscription linked to my account so that no further charges are made. Your previous replies have referred only to your refund policy and the fact that I'm not an EU resident, but they have not addressed the core issue that I was not properly informed about recurring billing at the time of purchase. If you continue to deny my refund without addressing this lack of clear disclosure, I will proceed with all available remedies, including filing a complaint with the Indian Consumer Commission for misleading and unfair trade practices, disputing the transaction with my credit card issuer on the basis that I did not knowingly authorize recurring billing, and reporting this matter to the relevant consumer protection authorities. I have kept copies of our correspondence and will provide them as evidence that I promptly disputed this charge upon discovering it. If I do not receive written confirmation of my refund within 48 hours, I will move forward with the above actions without further notice.
