On January 24, 2026, a charge of $5.97 was made to my credit card through PayPal/Citizen without my knowledge or authorization. My card was physically in my possession at the time, and I do not even have a registered PayPal account. Despite this, the charge was processed on my card.
As soon as I noticed the transaction, I contacted my bank and had my card canceled. I informed them that I did not make this purchase. Since it was the weekend, I will be submitting my formal dispute letter to my bank on the next business day, Monday.
I am requesting that PayPal/Citizen cancel this transaction, refund the $5.97 to my account, and permanently delete any of my card information that may be stored in their system. Otherwise, I will pursue all available legal remedies due to the hardship I have experienced.
