Payless Rent A Car Still Hasn't Refunded My Security Deposit
On February 13, 2026, I rented vehicle 34 NKZ 303 from the Payless Rent A Car branch at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. I returned the vehicle in full compliance with the rental agreement, with no damage or missing items. Despite this, the $128 security deposit authorization placed on my credit card has still not been released, even though a significant amount of time has passed.
During this time, I contacted both the rental branch and other company representatives multiple times, but the issue remains unresolved. I was also presented with additional charges that I believe were unjustified, which led me to question whether the company was intentionally delaying or avoiding the release of my security deposit.
After researching the issue, I found numerous complaints from other customers describing similar experiences, including allegations that Payless failed to refund security deposits. A company that rents vehicles to a large number of international visitors, as well as local customers, should handle these matters fairly and transparently.
I request that Payless Rent A Car Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport immediately release and refund the $128 security deposit held on my credit card and provide me with a clear written explanation regarding the delay.
