Mold inside your Omron nebulizer is concerning because inhaling mold spores is dangerous.

This issue must be addressed immediately and effectively:

• First of all, avoid mold spore exposure by stopping nebulizer use immediately.

• Cleaning and disinfecting the nebulizer is possible if the mold growth is mild.

• The medication cup, mesh nebulizer head, and other removable parts should be separated according to the manufacturer's instructions.

• Disassembled parts (excluding tubing) should be soaked in equal parts white vinegar and water for at least 30 minutes. Mold can be removed with vinegar's mild antifungal properties.

• Rinse all parts with clean, warm water to remove vinegar residue.

• The parts should air-dry completely on a clean, well-ventilated surface. Before reassembling, make sure they're dry to avoid mold.

Contact Omron customer service or a doctor if the mold growth is extensive or persistent or if you're unsure how to clean the nebulizer. They offer customized assistance and advice.
