I Face Pexbit Blocking My $143,000 Balance and Forcing Illegal Tax Payment
I am requesting urgent support regarding a serious issue I have faced with the Pexbit crypto trading platform. Since August 22, I have had a balance of $143,000 in my Pexbit account. I only attempted to withdraw $500, but the platform unexpectedly demanded a 3% tax payment on my entire balance—around $4,300—before allowing the withdrawal.
This was the first time I had ever encountered such a condition. When I contacted customer service, they confirmed that I had to pay this so-called tax to access my money and even provided me with an IBAN to transfer the funds. To test the situation, my brother tried the same process on his account. Even after paying the so-called tax, he could not withdraw any funds. Instead, they told us that everyone in our group had to pay the tax before any withdrawals would be approved.
Right now, my account is suspended, and I cannot access or withdraw any of my money. I want clarification on whether this kind of tax system is legal on Pexbit or if this is simply a scam tactic. I demand that my account be reopened immediately and that my funds be refunded without these unlawful conditions. For reference, my account number is 14539086, and I deposited funds from my Ziraat Bank account through OKX TR into the Pexbit app.
