NPower Raised My Charges By 700% Without Proper Notice and Ignored My Complaint

After NPower raised my standing and capacity charges by over 700% without appropriate notification, I had a bad encounter with them. The price increase was buried in small text on an email and almost impossible to find in time. I was already dealing with alarmingly high costs without any possibility to change to another provider by the time I knew what had happened. Their customer service staff shrugged off my complaint completely and discounted my worries when I brought up the problem. The Ombudsman told me, even after I raised the issue, they lacked power to contest pricing policies. I really regret ever joining NPower since this is predatory.
