I Face Burning and Redness After Using Nivea Skin Clear Peeling Gel
On October 4, 2025, I used Nivea’s Skin Clear Peeling Face Wash Gel for the first time. About five minutes after application, I began to feel a burning sensation around my nose. When I looked in the mirror, I noticed visible redness on my nose and cheeks. I immediately rinsed my face thoroughly with water, but the burning sensation persisted, and the redness intensified for a while. After about ten minutes, the redness subsided, but it left a visible mark on my skin.
I had previously experienced a similar reaction when using Nivea’s face cleansing foam. The expiration date on the product was still valid, and there was no visible damage to the packaging. I purchased the item from a Gratis store.
I expect Nivea to include a clear warning label on the packaging, stating that this product may cause allergic reactions on sensitive skin. I also request that the product undergo additional dermatological testing to ensure it is free from potential allergens that could harm users with sensitive skin.
