I own a 2014 Nissan Qashqai, and the paint on my car is peeling despite the vehicle never being in an accident. This means I’ll not only have to pay out of pocket for a repaint, but the car will also lose value as it will be considered a repainted vehicle even though it’s not accident-related.

After noticing the same issue with another Qashqai on the road, I stopped to speak with the owner. They confirmed that the paint had started peeling off on its own. When I contacted Nissan, they dismissed my concern, saying the warranty period had expired.

I haven’t repainted the car yet, but the situation is worsening daily. I urge Nissan to take responsibility for this apparent defect and offer a solution. Customers shouldn’t bear the cost of what seems to be a manufacturing flaw.
