I’m a frequent shopper, and I expect a certain level of courtesy and professionalism—especially from a premium brand like NARS. However, during my recent visit to the NARS store at İzmir İstinyePark AVM, I experienced behavior that was both disappointing and off-putting.
There was a female employee in the store—I believe her name was F****—whose dismissive attitude stood out right away. When we entered and greeted her with a polite “Hello, have a good shift,” she responded coldly with a short “Thanks,” without even making eye contact. When we asked a simple question about product availability, she replied with a curt “Yes,” while staring blankly at us, offering no further assistance or engagement.
This kind of indifference and lack of customer attention is completely unacceptable, especially at a brand that prides itself on beauty and customer experience. It’s frustrating to feel like you’re bothering someone just by asking for help.
NARS needs to ensure that its staff is not only knowledgeable but also genuinely respectful and welcoming. I strongly urge management to review hiring and training practices and ensure that employees represent the brand in a manner consistent with its image. We, as loyal customers, deserve a much better in-store experience.
