MyIQ Unauthorized Withdrawal From My Account
I maintain a savings account with GTBank, and on 12th January 2026, my account was debited with the sum of N42,915.69 for an online transaction which I did not authorize or consent to. I did not initiate this payment at any time and did not permit anyone to use my account. When I contacted GTBank customer service to report the issue, I was informed that my card details were with you through your website and that you debited me. This response is very worrying to me, because I trusted that my card and account details would be kept secure and used only for transactions I clearly authorize. This incident has caused me serious concern about the safety of my funds and the protection of my personal banking information. I am requesting a full refund of the N42,915.69 that was debited from my account for this unauthorized transaction, and I expect this refund to be processed by you within 48 hours, as well as a proper investigation into how my card details were used without my consent, so that this does not happen again.
