MyFitnessPal Started Charging for Features That Used to Be Free

I’ve been using MyFitnessPal for a long time, and it was my favorite app for keeping track of my fitness journey. I've seen that a lot of the features that used to be free are now only available with the Premium version. I used to scan barcodes to log my food and keep track of my macros, but now those are both premium features. I get that businesses want to expand, but it’s really annoying to lose the features that made the app awesome to begin with. At the moment, I mostly use it to keep an eye on my weight, but I've also started using another free app that has the same features. If MyFitnessPal doesn't change its mind, I might just stop using it completely, which is a bummer since I used to really enjoy it.
