Mustela Stelatopia Cream Smells Unusually Strong Despite Valid Expiry Date

Today, I purchased a Mustela Stelatopia cream. Although the product’s expiration date is still 4 months away (Batch No: 122025), as soon as I opened it, I was met with a very strong and unpleasant odor.

I applied the cream on my baby, but the intensity of the smell made me worried. The packaging was completely intact, with no signs of damage or tampering.

I would like to know whether such a strong odor is normal for this product or if it indicates a defect or spoilage. I request clarification and guidance regarding this issue.
