Moovit Shows Wrong Hospital Destination and Causes Extra Taxi Cost
On September 18, 2026, at around 8:00 a.m., I used the Moovit app in Samsun to travel from the Saat Kulesi bus stop to Samsun City Hospital. Even though I clearly selected “Samsun City Hospital” as my destination in the app, the route directed me to get off at Samsun Training and Research Hospital instead.
Since I am new to Samsun, I was not familiar with the locations of the hospitals and relied on the information provided by the app. Because the locations of the two hospitals were not clearly displayed or distinguishable from one another in the app, I got off at the wrong location and was forced to take a taxi. As a result, I had to pay approximately $9 in additional taxi fare.
I expect Moovit to correct the locations of Samsun City Hospital and Samsun Training and Research Hospital in the app so that they are clearly displayed and cannot be easily confused. I also request an appropriate resolution regarding the approximately $9 in additional transportation costs I incurred as a result of this error.
