Google Play Refused Refund for Accidental Monopoly GO Pack

4

On 13/10/2025, I accidentally purchased the “Special Pack” in the Monopoly GO game for $104 through Google Play on my Xiaomi Red 13 phone. The transaction was completed without any confirmation screen, and the amount was charged to my card in a single payment. After the purchase, the dice included in the pack appeared in my account, but I closed the app without using the item.

Immediately after the transaction, I submitted a refund request through Google Play. However, a few days later, Google informed me that my request had been rejected for “not meeting policy guidelines.” I contacted Scopely, the developer of Monopoly GO, but received no response. My Google Play email is ******@gmail.com and the transaction ID is gpa.3390-5077-1175-84118.

This is the first time I’ve experienced an issue like this, and I have no active subscriptions or pending payments on my account. Having such a high-value purchase go through without confirmation and then receiving no support has caused significant inconvenience.

I request that both Google Play and Scopely re-evaluate my refund request and resolve this issue. I kindly ask for careful consideration of my case.
