I Face MobiMatter Charging A Fee For A 15 GB eSIM We Could Not Use

On June 16, 2026, before my son traveled to the United States, he purchased a 15 GB U.S. data package through the MobiMatter app. We paid $12 for the package using our credit card.

When he arrived in Chicago, we tried multiple times to activate and use the package by following all of the provided instructions, but it never worked and we could not establish an internet connection.

Because the package did not work, we had to purchase an eSIM from another company, and that eSIM activated immediately. This showed us that the problem was not with the phone or its settings, but with the package we purchased through MobiMatter.

My son then contacted MobiMatter support regarding the issue. We were informed that only $10 of the $12 payment would be refunded and that MobiMatter would keep $2 as a deduction, even though we never used the package and received no benefit from the service.

I do not accept any deduction for a service that did not work and that we were completely unable to use. I request that the full $12 payment be refunded to the original credit card without any deductions.
