Mitsubishi AC Dies After Repeated Repairs While Competitors Last Decades

On April 1, 2020, I purchased a Mitsubishi MSZ-AP60VG / MUZ-AP60VG model air conditioner through Steel İklimlendirme, and I have experienced issues almost every summer since day one. The unit malfunctioned every summer, and since the beginning of this summer alone, service technicians have come four times, completely uninstalling and taking the unit to the shop twice. Despite this, no permanent solution was ever provided. During the first few years, their authorized service performed all the maintenance, and I trusted the recommendations of both the dealer and the technicians.
Initially, they claimed the issue stemmed from the remote control. Later, citing our coastal location, they claimed the refrigerant leaked quickly, refilling the gas and performing maintenance once or even twice a year. Despite this, the unit continued to fail at cooling properly. This year, they told me that both the indoor and outdoor units were severely rusted and oxidized, that the system had reached the end of its lifespan, and that it would soon be completely out of commission. Meanwhile, I own 15- and 20-year-old air conditioners from different brands operating under the exact same coastal conditions that continue to work without a single issue.
Throughout this process, I paid approximately $371 for maintenance, gas refills, and service fees this year alone, totaling around $582 over the years, in addition to the initial purchase price of $270. Despite these payments, my air conditioner ultimately broke down completely, and the authorized service team from Steel İklimlendirme in Hatay İskenderun uninstalled and took away every part, including both units and all the piping. At present, I am left with neither a functioning unit nor a reasonable solution.
Given that the product has repeatedly malfunctioned since delivery, suffered severe rusting and oxidation, and left me stranded without AC in the summer heat, I believe this is a manufacturing defect rather than user error. Since I have derived no benefit from the device despite paying continuous maintenance and gas refill fees, and because it has now been completely removed from my home, I demand a replacement unit under defective product regulations to resolve my grievance.
