About two years ago, in June, I purchased a Miele WWG660 washing machine. Approximately five months ago, the machine began causing rust stains on my clothes, and this issue continued until I contacted authorized service. Because of the problem, I applied to Erves Miele Authorized Service located in Kağıthane, Istanbul. When the technicians came to my home, I paid a $46 service fee, and they stated that there was no problem with the machine. However, after the machine was taken to the workshop, I was told that a coin was found inside the machine and that work had been carried out without my approval, after which I was informed that I had to pay an additional $161 service fee.
However, when the service team inspected the machine at my home, no coin was found at all. There is no way for me to know whether the coin allegedly found at the workshop actually came from my machine, and I have not been given a convincing explanation regarding this claim. At the moment, my washing machine is still being kept by the service center, and despite calling many times, I am only told that the $161 fee must be paid for service record number 15131262821113. Since I do not accept this additional charge, I have not made the payment.
In addition to this, there is serious confusion regarding the warranty and product registration of the machine. The barcode shows one product, the machine in my home is a different one, and Miele’s own system records list an entirely different product. Despite contacting Miele customer service many times, this registration issue has not been resolved, and the system error still remains. Because of this, I can no longer be certain that the machine I purchased brand new is actually the machine registered in Miele’s system. Due to the damage caused to my clothes, the lack of a clear and trustworthy technical diagnosis, and the confusion in the product and warranty records, my trust in the current machine has been completely shaken. I request that Miele replace my WWG660 washing machine with a brand-new identical unit, correct the product and warranty records so they accurately match the machine in my home, and resolve all the inconvenience I have suffered throughout this process.
