I Report Microsoft Blocking Access To Our 20-Year-Old Email Accounts
How is Microsoft operating as a company? For years, my spouse and I have used our email addresses, only to find our access to them suddenly blocked. To make matters worse, these accounts are set as each other's recovery addresses, creating a frustrating loop.
The phone numbers linked to these accounts are from years ago and are no longer in use. Now, we are constantly being asked to fill out repetitive forms to regain access. This is ridiculous, especially since our login devices and locations, used for years, should clearly establish our identity. Most shockingly, it's impossible to reach Microsoft by phone or email; there's no direct feedback channel available.
An automated response system has been put in place, which endlessly provides generic, unhelpful replies. What kind of company operates without any direct phone or email contact for its customers? How is this even permitted? Our 20-year-old email addresses have been rendered unusable, causing significant emotional distress and disruption to our personal and professional lives. We demand immediate assistance to regain access to our accounts and a direct explanation for this unacceptable situation.
