Michael Kors Watch's Discoloration Issue and Warranty Claim Denial
I purchased a women's M****** G**** watch from your store around January 21st or 25th, so it's quite new. When I bought it, the salesperson explained what would be covered under the warranty. He said that cracks or scratches on the glass from drops or other impacts wouldn't be covered, but issues like discoloration of the strap would be.
I used the watch for about 1.5 to 2 months. The inside part that touches my wrist, the underside of the case, has lost its color and text. The strap has also discolored and turned whitish on the inside. I understand that external scratches are my responsibility and likely occurred from bumping into things. I have no complaints about the exterior except for some discoloration on the edges.
My main complaint is about the color peeling off inside. This is unacceptable for a world-renowned brand like M****** Cross. I sent it for warranty service, but they claimed all the interior issues were user error. They're charging me ₺5,620 for repairs. If I had known it wouldn't be covered by warranty, I would have bought a fake watch instead of an original.
I'm considering filing a complaint with Consumer Rights. For context, my friend has been using the same watch for two years without any discoloration or wear on the inside of the case or strap. Again, this is unbecoming of a world-class brand like M****** Cross.
