MG ZS EV Has Not Received a Software Update in Nearly Three Years
I own a 2023 MG ZS EV, and the vehicle's software has not been updated for nearly three years. Since electric vehicles are designed to function as smart, software-driven products that continuously improve over time, I have been unable to benefit from many of the features that should evolve through software updates. One of the most noticeable problems is the built-in navigation system, which has become outdated and no longer provides accurate information about new roads, updated traffic patterns, or recently added routes.
I have contacted multiple MG authorized service centers on the Asian side of Istanbul, including the Kartal service center, which I visited twice. On every occasion, I was told that I simply needed to wait for a software update. However, despite waiting for approximately three years, no update has been installed and no concrete solution has been offered. I have also never received any written communication from MG or its authorized service centers explaining the delay or providing an expected release date.
I expect MG to update my vehicle's software so I can safely use all of its features as intended. In particular, the navigation system should be brought up to modern standards with current maps and routing information. I request that MG resolve this long-standing issue as soon as possible by providing the appropriate software update and keeping customers informed about the status of future software releases.
