MG ZS EV Chrome Trim Rusting in Less Than a Year – Warranty Claim Denied

I purchased my MG ZS EV electric vehicle (VIN: LSJW74093PZ****) from Coşkunlar Otomotiv in Bodrum/Muğla on December 29, 2023. Less than a year later, I noticed rust spots forming on the chrome trim of both rear windows. When I took my car in for its annual service, I requested a replacement under warranty, but my claim was denied.
I then escalated my request to MG’s headquarters, only to be told by customer service that I might have washed my car with caustic chemicals, which is completely untrue. I have owned various vehicles for years, always washing them with high-pressure water and parking them outdoors, yet I have never seen rust develop this quickly.
I demand that MG immediately replace the defective chrome trim under warranty. Has anyone else experienced this issue? MG, please take responsibility for your product quality!
I was called by MG customer service and they said the part would not be replaced under warranty. I applied to the Consumer Court.
