MEXC Exchange Mishandled My Orca Coin Short Position and Caused Unfair Liquidation
On December 6, 2024, during my trading experience on the Mexc exchange, I encountered issues with my Orca coin short position. I placed a buy order at 16:03:43, but the system did not execute it. Instead, my position was liquidated at 16:04:10 for a price of 9.43. If my 9.10 buy order had been processed correctly, my liquidation price would have been 9.8, and I wouldn't have faced liquidation. Interestingly, my 9.1 buy order was processed by the system immediately after the liquidation, and it is still active. This clearly shows a problem with the system. After speaking with the support team, it seems they are not ready to recognise the problem. On Monday, I will be submitting complaints to BTK and BDDK and will explore all legal options, including taking court action, to reclaim my funds.
