Metro Turizm Left My Mother Behind And Staff Verbally Abused Her
On 22.05.2026, my mother was seriously victimized on the Metro Turizm bus departing from Tekirdağ Otogar at 11:15, on the Tekirdağ–Yalova route. During the break, the bus departed almost immediately without properly checking the passengers and my mother was nearly left behind, as they continued the journey without even counting or confirming whether she was on board. When this situation was noticed and a reaction was shown, the language used by the personnel towards my mother was extremely humiliating and unacceptable. They swore at my mother with very heavy insults, used threatening phrases such as “I will do such and such to you,” and even attempted to approach her in a way that suggested physical contact, walking towards her aggressively. If other passengers had not intervened, the situation could have escalated further; some passengers even reacted by saying things like “How can you insult her like this?” Under this atmosphere of insult and pressure, they forcibly put my mother on another bus, and throughout the journey, the insults and swearing continued, causing her serious psychological distress. Despite our agreement and the information on the ticket, she was not dropped off in Yalova but in Gemlik, and my father had to pick her up from Gemlik. As a result, my mother was almost forgotten on the road, subjected to serious disrespect and verbal abuse, and was not taken to the destination stated on her ticket. The PNR number for this trip is YNPSJL5. I am filing this complaint not for financial reasons but because of the severe verbal abuse and threatening behavior directed at my mother. I request that an immediate and serious sanction be imposed on the responsible driver and attendant, that these individuals be clearly warned, and that all necessary action be taken, and that my mother receive a clear and explicit apology from the company for this unacceptable treatment.
