I am absolutely livid with Mercedes! My 2022 Mercedes C200 4Matic has left me stranded twice due to recurring spark plug problems. The first time, thankfully, I was in the city and managed to limp to a service center. But the second time, on my way back from a holiday, just outside Ankara near Kızılcahamam, my car started sputtering, the yellow engine light flashed, and it completely lost power despite me pressing the gas. I barely managed to pull over to the emergency lane.
The most infuriating part is that my car's spark plugs were just replaced during its 45,000 km service. Mercedes roadside assistance confirmed two faulty spark plugs and replaced only those two under warranty, telling me to have the other two replaced at my next service. This whole ordeal took three agonizing hours on the side of the road. What's worse, two friends with the exact same car have experienced this identical problem, clearly indicating a chronic issue with the spark plugs Mercedes is using.
Today, during my 60,000 km service, I explained the entire situation to the authorized service center, Batı Oto Mercedes. Despite roadside assistance explicitly recommending replacing the other two spark plugs, they refused to do the necessary replacement. This kind of negligence and shoddy part quality is completely unacceptable for a company as prominent as Mercedes. Frankly, I'm so disgusted that my next car will likely not be a Mercedes. You need to address this widespread spark plug defect immediately!
