Mercedes GLC 180 Broke Down During Family Medical Emergency
I purchased a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 180 AMG at the beginning of this year. The vehicle has only 8,000 kilometers on it, is not even a year old, and is still under warranty. While traveling out of town, my daughter suddenly became ill, and we had to admit her to Kulu State Hospital in Konya. While my vehicle was parked in the hospital parking lot, it broke down and we were unable to continue our journey.
When I called Mercedes-Benz Koluman, I was told that they did not have any replacement vehicles available and could only send a tow truck. However, they also said that they would “check regarding a replacement vehicle and try to help.” The tow truck arrived and took my vehicle from the hospital parking lot, but they left us, with our sick child, essentially stranded at the hospital. We had to travel approximately 120 kilometers back using our own means while my daughter was ill, and I was not even able to properly obtain her medication from the pharmacy.
Paying 6 million TL for a Mercedes-Benz vehicle only for it to break down after such a short period, and then not even being provided with a replacement vehicle during one of the most difficult moments for my family, has caused me significant financial and emotional distress. This experience has created a very negative impression of the Mercedes-Benz brand for me.
I request that the cause of the failure be thoroughly investigated, that all necessary repairs and procedures be completed fully under warranty, and that the losses and inconvenience I experienced—including a replacement vehicle and transportation expenses—be covered. I also request a written explanation of the incident and a formal apology.
