Meitu Charges $37 for VIP Subscription Without Consent

Despite never purchasing any type of subscription through the Meitu Photo Editor app, I discovered that I was charged an annual VIP subscription fee of approximately $37 (1,799.99 TL) on my Enpara card on August 14, 2026. I only used the app for photo editing, and it is completely unacceptable that a payment was taken from my card without my consent or any prior notification.

I noticed the transaction approximately 20 minutes later while checking my card activity. However, I was unable to contact the company directly because I could not find any customer support channel within the app or through an official Meitu website. I also saved a screenshot showing that the subscription had been canceled, but I still cannot find anyone who can assist me with obtaining a refund for this unauthorized charge.

I request that Meitu immediately cancel this unauthorized VIP subscription and issue a full and prompt refund of the $37 (1,799.99 TL) charged to my Enpara card. I also request a clear explanation of how this transaction occurred without my knowledge or consent. In addition, I expect Meitu to implement the necessary safeguards to ensure that the app does not automatically initiate subscriptions without obtaining the user's explicit and informed consent and that users receive clear advance notice of any subscription renewals or charges.
