Madame Coco Gift Item Quality Issue

I visited Madame Coco, attracted by their prestige and high prices, to purchase some items. I received a gift in the afternoon and opened it later that day. The next morning, I noticed there were issues with the lids. When I went to the store at noon to explain the situation, they not only refused to exchange the item but also kept asking for the receipt, making it seem like they were trying to create difficulties for me.
It's just two plastic lids! If they wanted to, they could easily find the receipt using my phone number. However, they seemed unwilling to help. By treating me this way, they have lost a customer like me. I would have purchased gifts and items for myself from there, but now I have found another place to shop. Is it too much to expect polite and courteous service?
