My friend and I booked a 15-minute free makeup session at MAC's Ankamall store in Ankara. Upon arrival, we mentioned our appointment, but the staff seemed uninterested, telling us that “this week’s trend” was just applying and smudging eyeliner. When we hesitated, they later offered lip, face, or eye makeup as options, which could have been explained clearly from the start.
We chose face makeup, but the staff were unengaged, barely speaking, and completed the session in five minutes. Their lack of effort was evident, likely because it was a free service. We had intended to purchase products but decided against it due to the poor treatment. As a social media influencer, I was planning to vlog the session, which could have served as positive promotion for MAC. Instead, I’ll share this disappointing experience to inform others.
MAC, please ensure your team treats every customer with respect, regardless of the service type, to maintain the brand's reputation.
